- Mix 100 – 200 mg with ghee or butter or milk, consume twice a day after food or as directed by the physician.
- There are no known side effects of this product.

- Peptic ulcer (Kudar Pungal).
- Skin disease (Thole noigal).If taken with ghee, supposed to confer upon golden hue to the skin.
- Burning sensation of the eyes (Kan Pugaichchal).
- Biliousness (Pithaathikkam). If taken with sacred basil juice, biliousness, phlegm formation as a result of intense fever accompanied by delirium will be relived.
